Many changes have taken place in Chinese media market . The structure of media market is becoming diversified and more competitive. Along with the segmentation, audiences have more options concerning media. Content supply of media has been incrementally unable to meet the social need. Media institution and system, in particular, are undergoing the transition. Together with marketization, conglomeration, de-regulation and re-regulation has led to the capitalization. The whole transition process will exert long-lasting influences to Chinese media ownership, governing pattern and organization structure, etc.In the context of the environment, Chinese media industry needs to launch a process of industrial transition, which ranges from development strategy, structure of media industries, re-shaping of supply chain, to institutional renovation of media. American journalism has been the model for the world in energetic, principled and courageous journalism. It is accepted as an article of faith by American journalists that their work is essential to an enduring democracy in an open, free society.
