Along with the development of the coding technical. The standard of the video frequency got the successul application in lots of realms. Such as the VCD( MPEG-1), video frequency meeting( H.263), DVD( MPEG-2), the machine an etc. And in the future, the network bandwidth promote( the ADSL connects to go into promote from the 512 kbits/ s of the past till now of 1 Mbit/ s, will still rise the 2 Mbits/ s soon, even higher) and the video frequency compresses with the coding technical development make people turn the foucus on takink the numerical television( IPTV) of network, flow the medium...etc.So the efficiently standard of the video frequency compresses would be the key of the medium technique development.The thesis deals with the design of the chip on the standard of H.264. The architectures are described in VHDL and mapped to Xilinx FPGA devices by the synplify7.2 and QuartusII2.2.The design work of the chip in the thesis,not only for our country develops the actuality compression chip technique in the icro-electronics field, but also have the realistic meaning to the development of information of the our country.
