By the continuous engineering practices in foreign countries, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) have been proved to be one of the most efficient methods in reliablility analysis. With the development of the technology, FMEA has become more and more important and difficult.Focusing on characters of FMEA and using the object-oriented programming technology and latest database design technologies, FMEA software has been designed. On the premise of the integrality and coherence of the data, the design of compact database is given to raise the agility and reduce the redundancy, which can enrich the software's functions, as well as make it more efficient. According to most popular criterions in FMEA field, this module can be used to analyze reliability or safety of the system. FMEA software designed in this paper is easy to be extended. Also it can offset the low efficiency in traditional FMEA software.By this software, Failure Analysis and development cycle for a new product can be reduced, and it will make a wider usage of FMEA technology in complex systems further more.
