Usually the control system of the concrete batching station is made up by PLC and industrial computers, but the control system always breaks down during the working time. The control system can not guarantee long time stability. Because of the reasons mentioned above, this paper develops a new kind of control system which is based on embedded system. In this way the control system is much cheaper than ever and we can guarantee long time stability. Wireless data collection and wireless communication is the most advanced feature in our new control system.The work presented in this paper focuses on developing a kind of concrete batching station control system based on embedded system, this paper introduces the bottom control system and wireless data collection system and focuses on the top control system. The hardware platform is based on the Samsung S3C2410A embedded microprocessor and its embedded OS is Microsoft Windows CE.At first, this paper overviews the background of the embedded system from the point of the system architecture. We discuss the design of the top control system and expatiate the hardware design solution based on the embedded design methodology. This paper introduces the S3C2410A processor, the hardware platform, after which the paper gives a detailed introduction of some typical circuits on the top control system core board including storage circuit, NAND Flash storage circuit and some circuits on the top control system motherboard including LCD and touch panel circuit, USB HOST/Device interface circuit at the same time. On the meaning while, this paper introduces the embedded operating system emphasis on Microsoft Windows CE and the device driver model under Windows CE, interruption handle under Windows CE, transplantation steps of Windows CE. The author also analyses the Boot loader design method, the debugging/development environment and the process of the system startup.This paper discusses the device driver types, stream interface driver model and stream interface driver DLL design steps based on Windows CE architecture. And then, this paper specializes in some device drivers' development which includes the COM driver, touch screen panel driver, USB Client driver. This paper gives detailed introduction of concrete batch station control system development process including the software development environment, the system control flow and some typical codes.The new kind of concrete batching station control system has nice user interface and can be operated easily. All of the information during the manufacture will be displayed on the LCD so the operator can monitor the whole system easily. When the manufacture process finished, the system will generate the report automatically. The system will record every action of the control command into log file, so if some errors occur we can diagnose the system with the log files.
