In our country, all monitoring systems for atmospheric pollutants, including sulfur dioxide have imported for a long time. Among all methods for detecting sulfur dioxide, ultraviolet fluorescence method is popular in many countries, and also is promoted byword Health Organization. The paper uses ultraviolet fluorescence method, and expounds the Law of Multi-wavelength excitation, and research of remote monitoring system based on GPRS.With high rapid developments of Internet network and the embedded system of ARM, Internet has made a great affects on the developments of modern society. The embedded internet technology enables electronic instruments to access Internet which makes remote detection, remote control and remote maintenance easy. The application of embedded internet technology must have great future in fields of industrial control and information electronic equipments, etc. The paper has done following this: It uses to the phenomenon of the Multi-wavelength excitation of the sulfur dioxide, designs the monitoring concentrations system of Multi-wavelength excitation of the sulfur dioxide. It uses photon counter to collect the signal of the ultraviolet fluorescence, and uses remote monitoring method to access GPRS and Internet. Research on anabolic principle of GPRS net, and the operating principle of PPP, IP, TCP, UDP and so on and the main technique which program would referent, programming for communication part and designing, programming and debugging of debugging and systematic server communicating monitor software. The data communication based on GPRS has so many features such as "online forever", fast data transmitting and the bill is cheap. The embedded system which has been completed used the SAMSUNG 44B0X based on the ARM core, and use MC35 as communication module. The software has been developed under the embedded operation system: μC/OS-II. Using GPRS network, the equipment has realized the embedded internet technology.
