With the rapid development of embedded system, 32-bit processor has been widely used; Philips Corporation's LPC2100 series production ARM also has a vast market, in the meanwhile appeared a lot of minimal system boards based on this series ARM. This also greatly shortened the development cycle of the ARM-based projects, which have been widely acclaimed by many ARM development lovers.In order to ensure the quality of the system board, reduce the additional development costs of the issue caused by the minimum system board, in considering developing an automatic detection device for the minimal system of LPC2100 without using a PC (Personal Computer).As the packages are different, the design is suitable for most parts of the smallest system board of LPC2100 series ARM, except LPC2101, LPC2102, LPC2103, LPC2104, LPC2105, LPC2106, therefore, this detection device is very useful, and also enables the detection device to have a very broad application.This design is intelligent, and one key testing makes the testing operation more convenient; In this paper, the basic detection which detects GPIO of LPC2100 is implemented, this convenient function can detect the welding quality of the system comprehensively; The realization of a senior detection enable the detection of the other functional components of LPC2100.This function is more comprehensive, and can detect the internal functional components; this paper had separated from the PC, which can be replaced by the detection machine LPC2136 to download testing procedures by ISP, so the cost will be greatly reduced; this paper also realized the function to display the detection problem by LCD. What is more, if there is a problem, the alarm will be started.The core of the design is the ISP (In-System Programming) download, under normal circumstances, LPC2000 through its UART0 and PC'COM to download the testing procedures. In this paper, the testing procedures will be downloaded through ISP between the two microprocessors.The final conclusion of the design is: PC is not a necessity to realize the ISP download process, and realizing the ISP download process between two microprocessors is more intelligent, and reduces the cost of testing too. The design had also achieved the basic function and the complex function .The design is expected to achieve the target.As the design time is limited, the complex detection model did not test all the components of LPC2100. In future designs, the detection of the other parts will be gradually improved.What is more, because the detection machine's procedures need to be stored in the form of string, and to be downloaded by the detection machine through ISP agreement, when upgrade the testing machine's procedures, the procedures for detecting should be revised, it is much different when you use a PC to download the testing machine's procedures through ISP agreement, so the detection machine's procedures can not be updated at any time you want. That is to say, the users can not upgrade the software by themselves. As the design can be extensively applied, the detection is intelligent, the humane and low cost advantages, it can be sure that the design has a very broad market space. The subsequent version of detection device will be gradually introduced. It will have better functions, more extensive applications, more convenient controls and much lower prices that will be introduced to the detection device; therefore, there are more broad prospects for development.
