Today's world, Information technology represented by high technology is undergoing profound changes. The information technology has already omnipresent applied to all the fields of society. The progress of the information technology industry deeply influence the business aspects, meanwhile the update and development of business promote software evolvement. Because the growth and changes of business is inevitable, the changes of IS will be inevitable. However, the traditional information systems has become increasingly unable to keep pace with these changes, many projects can't end to endless maintain for IS.How to change this situation? This needs to leave the business logic from procedural code, so as to form a separate business rule layer. BR can be operated by UI for business staff, without undue reliance on IT staff. Thus, IS only needs to make even small changes can quickly adapt to industry changes, so the maintenance of IS become very simple.After independent of business rules, the rules-oriented development method appears. BR is the core in this method. BR related to the acquisition, description and implement.At first, this paper introduces BR for us. BRM(Business Rules Management) have a profound impact on software design and enterprise. By compare of 3 methods of software design, we gain the merit of BR-oriented method clearly.In the step of BR acquisition, this paper provides three sources of BR and describes the method how to acquire these BRs. Then we analyze BRs so as to eliminate the conflicts and duplications in BRs.In last step, BRs are described by natural language. Although natural language is easy to understand, it have ambiguity shortcoming. In this paper, we put forward a method of BR classification; meanwhile we provide some description template for these classifications. Thus, each BR can be described by structured approach. Thus BRs are not only easy to understand but easy to implementation.As to the BR implementation, this paper provides 3 components which are BR component, link component and software design component. BR component and software design component are linked by link component. Thus, when the business is changed, IS can allocate the position which will be changed in software code.In preface, this paper introduce the related technologies which are OOD and UML.
