The utilization scope of the ground mobile robots has expanded to each domain, including the industry manufacture, the astronautics aviation, the national defense, the medicine nursing and so on. So how to dispose the pratical and reliable remote device for the ground mobile robots, and realize well the man-machine interaction function has become the main direction which the ground mobile robots studied. In the present paper, there are some key technologies of the visual tele-presence remote control system has been reseached. It can provide the more practical and reliable technologies and methods to the visual tele-presence remote control system.The wireless telecommunication technique for mobile robots tele-operation are studied in this dissertation. The wireless communications system is one of the overall system most important parts, also is one of the key technologies which must be studied. The wireless communication system has been divided into two parts specifically: (1) the image wireless transmission system of the mobile robot to the commanding station,(2) the data wireless communication system of the mobile robot and the commanding station. In order to solve the problem of the original system, the present paper will discuss a new technical, and redesign the image wireless transmission system skeleton. Then it has obtained the result from the theoretical analysis and the actual experiment data. As same as the image wireless transmission, it has also conducted the thorough research to the data wireless communications system from the two aspects: software and the hardware. After the theoretically computation forecast analysis and the actual system field data test, the equipments have been compared. In the data communication system, the observation and control computer and the communication facility connect by the RS232 serial port. Therefore there has carried on the design and the improvement to the serial port connection software procedure, and studied the data transmission form and the content. In two wireless communications systems, this article has also separately analyzed that the influence to the reliability of the system and how to enhances the reliability of the system.
