In the paper, the chaos encryption algorithm is implemented with the technology of SOPC. Through analyzing and comparing the cryptology features of this algorithm, we select appropriate parameters and initial value of chaos. Besides these, we design the key-stream generator module, use the digital chaotic sequence to carry out encrypting and decrypting simulation, and optimize the hardware algorithm describing the key-stream generation, which can improve the generating speed of key-stream. Moreover, the DES (Data Encryption Standard) encryption system is also realized in the paper. We adopt the chaotic sequence as the key of DES encryption to improve the system, achieving "one new set of key following one encryption", which makes the decryption more difficult and is convenient for the key management.An integrated encryption-based communication system is designed in the paper, and a communication experiment between PC and SOPC has been done with the experimental development system SOPC/EDA of GW48 series. The results of the experiment show that, this system can implement encryption and decryption successfully, increase the speed of encryption and ensure the quality of encryption.
