The rapidly developed Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) is widely applied in different fields, such as national defense, scientific research, education, and economy. For the disunion of WLAN security technology caused by variety of current WLAN security standards, customers have to face with the difficulty in accessing heterogeneous network, which causes many problems: inconvenient usage, difficult security management, complex device management and repeated investment.A new scheme of WLAN integrated authentication system is proposed. It can deal with the problem of interconnection of authentication. With such scheme , users can access wireless networks of various types adaptively and conveniently.In architecture of WLAN integrated authentication system, A software system of IEEE 802.11i protocol is designed and implemented, through analyzing procotol and correlative code. Firstly, we analyze the origin background of IEEE 802.11i, features of security architecture and mainly secure technique were also given; Secondly, design idea and architecture of WLAN integrated authentication system is presented. subsequently, the description focused on the design idea and implement method of IEEE 802.11i protocol module was posed, then the emphases and difficulty of the module got discussed in detail; Finally, we set up a test system for the IEEE 802.11i module, and present the test results and final conclusion.
