In recent years, represented by WLAN and 3G, the wireless networks technology and its applications have made rapid development. More relevantly, with their both mutual compensation, cost-effective network services with high-speed, wide coverage will be provided for users through integration of them, which without a slightest doubt will be the indispensable factor of the next-generation wireless mobile networks. This paper attempts to analyze the security authentication technology of 3G-WLAN integrated network. Based on systematical analysis of the performances of integrated scenarios, the system architecture and the two integrated schemes of loose coupling and tight coupling, EAP-AKA authentication technology with its security is studied and analyzed in this paper. Meanwhile, an improvement project with the virtue of a lower cost of computing and communications and more security in certification process is proposed which can be used to against the WLAN AN impersonation attack and the WLAN UE impersonation attack and divulging of user's private information that may happen in the EAP-AKA certification process. This paper designs and achieves a 3G-WLAN integrated network security access platform, and then completes the coding of the EAP-AKA certification protocol. The result of the system testing through setting up the testing environment shows this system realizes the access-authentication of both 3G and WLAN network and at the same time the security of data transmission in wireless link is guaranteed. In addition, the improved EAP-AK protocol has the feature of keeping it safe from the WLAN AN impersonation attack and the WLAN UE impersonation attack and guaranteeing user's private information effectively.
