With the rapid development of laser technology and photoelectron component technology, as well as the further requirement on the distance and quality of communication, the optical communication technology is rapidly developed with unique merit. It is a kind of critical technology in space optical communication that the accurate pointing, acquisition and tracking of the space beam (APT: Acquisition Pointing Tracking).Firstly, the development actuality of space optical communication and fine tracking servo system are summarized, and then the constitute and working principle of APT system are analyzed. Based on the research and analysis of fine tracking system, the implement method of controlling of beam precisely, by which adopting the FSM (Fast Steering Mirror) system driven by PZT is put forward. According to the requirement of servo platform for fine tracking system, the static control precision, control range, resonance frequency, load, bandwidth of FSM are analyzed in details. Finally the suitable platform and drive method have been fixed. The application of FSM on fast servo is validated by experiment. The results of experiment indicate that the FSM satisfied the demand of system.
