This paper explores complementary code keymg(CCK) modulation which is the spread spectrum modulation mode of high speed data transmitting rates 5.5Mbps and 11Mbps in physical(PHY) layer of IEEE 802.11b standard wireless LAN(WLAN).The transmitting principle and technology of PHY layer are analyzed, and complementary code sequences are discussed. The paper also discusses the principle and implementation process of CCK modulation, and is compared between CCK and MBOK modulation. CCK modulation is simulated through the application of MaxplusII, and the performance of CCK modulation is briefly theoretically analyzed.Complementary code sequences have eximious performance by way of spread spectrum codes. And they can implement communication of good quality. The CCK and MBOK modulation all suit high speed data transmitting rate. But comparing between CCK and MBOK, CCK modulation is better for 5.5Mbps and 11Mbps data transmitting rates. Simulation result of entering interferential code, series-parallel conversion, QPSK, code transformation, DQPSK, code selecting and phasic tuning of CCK modulation is carried out with MaxplusII, and CCK modulation is achieved with FPGA.
