Implementation of radar communication signals processing based on spread spectrum technology is based on the communication system in radar system as the research background, to complete the communication between radar and associated controlled equipment by spread spectrum modulation technology. Spread spectrum modulation techniques because of its good performance of anti-interference and secrecy, in its birth is used in military field, has made rapid progress in recent years. Applying it to the radar communication system, is also fully consistent with the radar communication system for covert communication and ECCM demand. At the beginning of this paper, based on the structure of the radar communication system, the communication processes of system transmitter and receiver is designed. Followed by discussion of the theoretical basis and key technologies of spread spectrum communication technology, and the spread spectrum method, spread spectrum code and synchronization method are selected, according to the actual situation of radar spread spectrum communication system. After that, According to the system requirements, a hardware platform based on spartan-6FPGA is designed, and the PCB is drawn and completed. Then the paper focuses on how to complete the communication process design and recovery information on this hardware platform with ISE software platform and VHDL language. At the sending end, system sends message by Direct sequence spread spectrum with m sequence and2DPSK modulation. At the receiving end, the message is recovered, through the differential coherent demodulation, matched filter despread and CFAR(constant false alarm rate) judgment. Finally, the hardware debugging results of both ends, observed in the oscilloscope and chipscope, are compared with the simulation results of MATLAB and Modelsim, which demonstrates the correctness of the system design, hardware platform and software algorithms in this paper and that the real-time communication purposes are achieved.
