Research Of Testing System For Bluetooth Module And Dongle

Bluetooth is the most popular short distance and low power wireless communication technology in recent years. Its target is to replace the cables or wires of mobile or fixed electronic devices and to make wireless connection in short distance. It has the remarkable characteristics of broad compatibility and reliable connections between devices. In order to guarantee high interoperability of different Bluetooth devices manufactured by different plants, Bluetooth SIG constituted comprehensive Bluetooth testing protocols to standardize design and production of Bluetooth devices. During both R&D and manufacture phases, the credible and accurate testing is the important guarantee for consistency and compatibility of Bluetooth devices. Testing system's design and making is very important in both theory and practice field to validate design, adjust equipments and ensure production quality.This thesis introduces the basic characteristics of Bluetooth technology and structure of Bluetooth system, particular in RF testing specification. According to testing specification strictly, testing system for Bluetooth RF module has been designed and carried out. The thesis introduces the scheme design and choice, working principium and development method. As a kind of practical using of RF module, testing system for the Bluetooth dongle is also introduced in paper. At the last of paper, practical testing data has been analyzed.The testing systems for Bluetooth module and dongle in the paper have been verified in practical using by researchers of lab and operators of plant. It is proved that testing system is credible, precise, convenient and easy to use. Now the system has been used in factual application.
