In this paper, a fault diagnosis system with data acquisition and signal processing is produced for naval weapon research project. The system is designed to testing the working status of Mine fuse, and to provide bases for the regular testing of underwater weapon system.The main content and innovation points of this paper are as follows:1) Introduces the idea of virtual instruments in the field of protecting and maintaining underwater weapon systems.2) Designs a general testing system for Mine fuse according to the black-box testing theory. This system integrates signal generator, A/D converter, D/A converter, real-time clock, printer and LCD screen.3) Presents another fault diagnosis and location system for the MCU circuits based on functional testing method. In terms of hardware design, the interface board can detect and diagnose MCU, memory, A/D converter, I/O channels and interface devices; in software design, the object-oriented testing programs and functional self-testing programs respectively apply Visual Basic and Assembly Language.4) Testifies the feasibility of the above fault diagnosis system. It proves that the system can effectively detect faults, greatly enhance the efficiency of equipment maintenance and be a useful tool for technical support of underwater weapon system.
