With the fast development of systems of video capturing and processing, it is not enough to solve image problems in laboratories or with PC stations. Using video system in embedded and portable circumstance is an important development. This trend forces great pressure on volume, power and performance of systems. The main ideas of this thesis are to construct a system like this which can be used in embedded way, and to give details of this system about low power.The hardware design in power offers supports in circuitry. The target of software design in low-power is to design a kind of policy to manage system power which composes of setting correct value in registers, arranging an efficient working flow and model and supporting hardware circuit features. For features of peripheral equipments when it works, software can set corresponding model. It includes state-monitor, sleeping, waking up and power off. This thesis gives some views in the mind of low power. It constructs a practical system and analyzes the power dissipation of their parts, and then concludes some methods to reduce its power dissipation in circuits.
