With the development of internet, digital image is becoming the important source of information and the main means of using information because of its great quantity of information, fast speed and long distance of transmission. The quantity of digital image data is great, so it needs to be compressed in transmission and store. In JPEG and MPEG, the digital image and video compress standards, YCbCr color space is used. While on the display devices, RGB color space is used. So color space conversion is always needed in apply.On the other hand, most countries around the world use one of three main video broadcast standards. These three main standards are NTSC, PAL and SECAM. However, each standard uses different color spaces. So a color space converter in common use is the important part on video decoder. It can give the display device a better market.In this paper, the hardware implementation of Color Space Converter in common use is studied and verified.At first, the color space converter (CSC) is studied on system level.
