Graphics display takes an important role in electronic flight instrument system (EFIS) for aircraft platform. Aircraft's flight environment is very complicated, and its parameters change dramatically. Therefore, EFIS must be dynamic, real-time, and compact, and it requires highly efficient hardware and software design. Graphics generation algorithms include many algorithms, such as rasterization, character display, anti-aliasing, area filling, and so on. The graphics generation algorithms must be efficiently and compactly achieved, and it is one of the most important aspects of designing graphics display system.OpenGL ES is a royalty-free, cross-platform API for full-function 2D and 3D graphics on embedded systems. It consists of well-defined subsets of desktop OpenGL, creating a flexible and powerful low-level interface between software and graphics acceleration. Via OpenGL's API, users can easily draw 2D and 3D graphics. This paper proposes graphics generation algorithms for aircraft platform, which are based on drawing process of OpenGL ES 2D core. Consequently, 2D graphics displayed on terminal screen can be drawn compactly and efficiently. As far as we know, raster graphics could inevitably induce aliasing...
