With the development of network technologies and the advancement of economy, more and more enterprises attach importance to the VPN technique, which has particular advantages in the aspects of network flexibility, extensibility, security and economical efficiency. As one of the most potential VPN technologies, BGP/MPLS VPN gets more and more recognitions by SP, and has been a hotspot in the domain of private network. Combine with the development trend of mobile network and the fall short of its actual theory we can find that, the research of BGP/MPLS VPN mobility will helpful to offer the requirement to a series of new secure mobile services, such as remote mobile business, and mobile interior conferences, and it will make the method of VPN function and implementation more diversify then before, and will make for the VPN technology have an extensive application in the future network environment. The approach scheme will have an important disquisitive and actual value.The job in this thesis is one part of the"research of IPv6 multicast, security and VPN"project which is developed by our university cooperated with one of a domestic communication enterprises. This thesis purpose is researching the BGP/MPLS VPN mobility, and it starts at the foundational BGP/MPLS VPN theories. Taking IETF's advanced achievement in MIPv4, MIPv6 and NEMO as reference, the thesis confirms its research routes and innovative points. It goes into the matter of BGP/MPLS VPN mobility; analyses and designs a complete settlement in all kinds of different BGP/MPLS VPN mobility scenarios, mainly including host mobility and site mobility. It details the relevant extension to BGP/MPLS VPN, and improves the related VPN equipments and the processes of data packet transmission, which involves adding and binding CoA and a new MPLS label. To sum up, this settlement scheme makes BGP/MPLS VPN combine with the mobile network.
