With the operation, disposal and management of the traction power supply system being more and more complicated, it is much more necessary to develop a new substation of concentrating control system by computer with higher security, more powerful data processing, more efficient man-machine interface as well as local control and remote monitoring .In the paper, we have analyzed and studied on the concentrating system by computers , contraposing the features of traction substations with electrized railway. And it introduced the design idea which combined board-leveled design with ship-leveled design. Another is that it achieved a scheme of master-slave mode multi-machined traction substation monitoring system by applying STD industrial controller and MCS-51 singlechip. According to the main structure of computer system, the paper conducted a generally analysis of the monitoring system, and also studied and analyzed the system's software. In the meantime, it introduced the accomplishment of the principal modules and presents the mechanism of anti-interference of the system and suggested the measures to resist interference. The system has the capability of data acquisition and processing, fault diagnosis, monitoring control, curved line drawing, performance recording and printing as well. This system can monitor the local substations in real time, also as a terminal equipment of the distance motive system. It is valid to pre-process the transformed information, thus to improve the real-time and data transforming capacity of the distance motive system. In addition, it could also serves as a secondary disposal terminal of the segregation switch on multitrack electrized railway. It contributes to the organic combination of the functions of both the distance motive and local control with practicality values...
