With the continuous expansion of the scale of network coverage, gradually improve thehuman cost of the substation, more and more toward the unmanned direction. As a middlepower transmission and distribution network is the mostimportant aspect of convergence,security has become the key of the whole power grid substation, how can ensure substationsafety, and can continue to use the unattended substation has become a major topic at present.Because of unmanned substation are often far away from the city, application of videosurveillance system with the help of scheduling and monitoring personnel can real-timemonitoring of substation condition. However, the current video monitoring system only invideo monitoring, scheduling staff by the naked eye and24hour is monitoring to ensure thestability, the enormous workload scheduling staff.Therefore, application of intelligentautomatic response, imminent unattended substation video monitoring system can reduce thework load of staff scheduling monitoring.Based on the above situation, this paper analyzes the current status of the substationvideo monitoring system, a clear security needs, and sums up the existing problems. Secondly,in view of the current video monitoring system of unattended substation can not specificallyidentify people and other moving targets in real time, and can not make corresponding insubstation terminal question, target monitoring technology and moving target recognitiontechnology based on application, background image difference method and the AdaBoostalgorithm, proposed the video monitoring scheme of motion target detection and recognitionfor in unattended substation combined. Finally, applying the software engineering theory,design a set for unmanned substation intelligent video surveillance system, realizes completeprompts unattended substation terminal and dispatching center terminal, and realizesautomatic redundancy of video data backup function, solve the current video monitoringsystem of unattended substation can’t real-time response the problem, ensure that no one issafe operation station.
