Along with the development of Internet technology and the improvement of enterprise's information-based degree, Enterprise Web Application based on B/S has been the mainstream of the software development. In the development of web application system, it is ineluctable that are systematic development period to be long, the workload of system to be large, and there is much repetition development. So, problems such as these bring more manpower and material resources, and longer development period and higher cost of development. These factors affect the quality of software badly, which cry for the tremendous revolution of the development method.The appearance of component and the development of software based on component offer very good technical support for solving these problem. This paper bases the Universal Platform of Web Application System based on .NET(for short Universal Platform) and provides a series of component making use of Visual Studio .NET 2003,and then discusses the management of component.At first, this paper introduces component technology and its correlative technology together with technique courses. Next, this paper introduces component granularity and programming interface in the Universal Platform. Again, the paper proposes a series of system basic component. And then offers a universal data accessing assembly to eliminate the difference of different database and provides us with the uniform data access interface. Subsequently,To the deficiencies in the data structure of the platform, we improve on it and give the contrast between former and current on the performance of web application. And then this paper proposes a tool based on business configuration and a group of components for building function interface to encapsulate the business function and avoid the repetitive development. Finally, this paper discusses the essential and feasibility of introducing the mechanism of component management into the platform.This platform's basic framework and function component can be applied to the project solely. At this time, they have already been applied to the development of the OA system of Military Office and certain traffic information platform, which has achieved anticipated effect. It achieves constructing web application system fast, avoids a lot of repetition of work and shortens development period.
