Three-dimensional acquisition and reconstruction is a branch of computer image processing and a research direction that integrates computer vision with computer image and graph processing. It has a wide application in the fields of automation process, machine vision, CAD, manufacturing, virtual reality, medicine and so on. It is an important but difficult problem that how we can obtain the three-dimensional surface information of an object accurately and rapidly and according to these information how to apply the methods of digital image process and then obtain the better results of acquisition and reconstruction.It presents a method named Surface Structured Light Projection Triangle Measurement, by which we can capture the surface topography of a three-dimensional object without any contact. The deformed grating pattern appears when the standard grating pattern is projected onto the specimen and observed from the direction that has an angle from the projection axis. The deformed grating pattern image contains information about the surface topography of three-dimensional object. The deformed grating pattern is input into a computer by CCD camera and processed by a series of procedure: image pretreatment (cutting and filtering), fractal image coding, thresholding and morphology process (eroding, expanding and thinning) and then according to the corresponding mathematics model and arithmetic of digital image process analyze to obtain the three-dimensional coordination of the superficial of the measured object. On the basis of former system, we realize three-dimensional point clouds reconstruction. The point clouds (three-dimensional coordination of the superficial of the measured object) is read and showed on the screen. We can easily and rapidly realize some complicated point clouds disposing functions such as rotating, transferring, zooming, sampling and diluting. Finally, an amendatory theory of measurement and reconstruction is introduced.
