ATM system is the true 24 hours service system. It has the benefit of extending bank service time, saving human resources, meeting people's different banking requirements. Thus improving the bank's service capability. With the rapid growth of ATM numbers, the complexity of the ATM network was badly increased. ATM managers urgently need a good designed full function ATM monitor system to realize the efficient management of the ATM system, and to guarantee the true 24 hours proper running of the ATMs.Based on comprehensive analysis of current ATM system, considering easy to use, easy to maintain and independent of operating systems, a java-based B/S model ATM monitor system was analyzed and designed in full detail. This system realized the needs for monitoring the operating state of ATM device and their parts, improved the running efficiency, fulfill the needs of ATM management. From the view of up-to-the-minute software engineer method, we use the Unified Modeling Language (UML) to fulfill all phases of the system analysis and design. This greatly rapid the development process, improve the coding quality, and support the variation of functional needs. Meanwhile, we make great efforts on improving the openness and easy maintenance of this software.
