With the increasing needs of information, the transmission capacity of communication system must be enhanced proportionally. Soliton laser communication can provide extraordinary high transmission rate. Because soliton laser can be transmitted for very far distance with little distortion and very high frequency, the transmission capacity of Soliton laser communication system is more 12 orders of magnitude than the fastest communication system present and the distance between two relay stations are more than hundreds of miles. Now soliton laser communication has become the hotspot of research. Ultra-high speed actively mode-locked fiber laser can generate ultra-high frequency soliton pulse, so it has been seen as the perfect lamp-house of far distance and no relay station communication system in the future. Ultra-high speed actively mode-locked fiber laser has many advantages but it can not operate stably for long. One of the most important prior conditions which can keep actively mode-locked fiber laser operating stably is that the frequency of modulation signal must be the integral multiple of longitudinal mode spacing. If the frequency of modulation signal isn't the integral multiple of longitudinal mode spacing, there is phase noise or even mode-lock failure generated, that causes collapse of output soliton pulse. There are about two hundreds or three hundreds meters of fiber in actively mode-locked fiber laser and the length of fiber vary along with the variation of outside environment, so it's too difficult to ensure that the frequency of modulation signal matches the longitudinal mode spacing of fiber laser, as a result actively mode-locked fiber laser can not operate stably for long. The reason why we design and facture a high stability constant temperature platform is to make sure that the environment temperature is as stable as possible. For matching the frequency of modulation signal and the longitudinal mode spacing of fiber laser, we can use other control methods for example PZT to control the length of fiber based on the high stability constant temperature platform, and finally we can ensure that Ultra-high speed actively mode-locked fiber laser works stably.In addition the constant temperature platform has a broad application in other areas of modern technology.
