Wireless sensor networks are uniquely characterized by extreme limited resources, dramatically low data rate, and many-to-one flow pattern. Consequently, traditional routing schemes proposed for mobile ad-hoc networks often cannot be directly applied therein. In particular, routing schemes in large-scale wireless sensor networks are demanded to be ultra energy efficient and balanced in order to prolong the overall network life due to the potentially immense amount of sensor data. In addition, wireless sensor networks should have the ability of dealing with differentiated service with multiple QoS constraints. The adopted routing algorithms need not only satisfy the requirements of various applications, but also balance the energy consumption and achieve the goal of energy efficiency. Due to the existed attacks in sensor network, it is necessary for us to be very cautious to considering the security of data transmission when designing the routing algorithm for WSN. This is a big challenge in routing algorithm design. In this paper, we give some new solutions to cope with the difficulty adopting several important ideas, such as DD scheme, data aggregation and multipath routing.The main important work of this paper:(1). Deeply studied data diffusion mechanisms and some basic ideas of relative routing algorithms for wireless sensor network.(2). Aiming at the differentiated service requiring various resource to satisfy the different service, a new QoS routing algorithm for sensor network is proposed in this paper based on Directed Diffusion, which consider both energy balancing and routing delay. Not only can it ensure the service requirements, but also can it extend the network lifetime in some degree.(3). Investigate the data aggregation approach to reduce the data redundancy in sensor network. In light of this idea, a data aggregation based multipath routing algorithm is presented in this paper. Theoretically and experimentally, we show that the proposed scheme can achieve significant performance gains over existing algorithms across a wide range of operational scenarios, such as energy efficiency and robustness of routing.(4). Considering the existing attacks and countermeasure, a secure routing algorithm based on multipath routing mechanism is proposed in this paper. Data encryption method is used to ensure the security of data content. A t the same time, multipath routing scheme is adopted to ensure the security of data transmission. The efficiency and superiority of the new method was proved by the results in the simulated experiment.
