Intelligent Access Control System Based On Non-contact IC Card

This thesis chiefly involves the design and research of Access Control System based on non-contact IC (RF) Card. The Access Control System, which belongs to Building Automation System (BAS), can not only control entranceways of buildings, but also combine with Close Circuit Television System. The Access Control System recommended in this thesis possesses better practicability, high ratio of performance over price and preferable expansibility. Moreover, the part of checking on work attendance integrated in the management software of the Access Control System is more convenient for checking the staff of the corporations on work and the management of the Access Control System.At first, this thesis introduces the theory of the Access Control System based on non-contact IC (RF) Card, comparing contact IC Card with non-contact IC (RF) Card, gathers up the characteristics and advantages of non-contact IC (RF) Card; the applications of the single and network Access Control System, refers to some kinds of design standards, expounds the kernel hardware of ACS, including the hardware of the controller and the transition circuit between RS422 and RS232 signals.According to the development demand, the Access Control System designed can discern the IC card according to the information of the numbers and validity of the cards on its storage chip without communicating with PC. Certainly it can also work well combining with PC. For saving the expenses of equipments, this system grants cards by the aid of software. Aiming at the management convenience of the staff and cards, the system built a desk database on PC, which is expounded in chapter 4.The designed ACS is composed in the net by RS422 bus, and communicates with PC by calling the functions in the dynamic link library of the serial communication with the help of the transition circuit between RS422 and RS232 signals.
