The 21st century is a century of computer and Internet. With the rapid development of Internet, the amount of Internet user grows very fast, which also stimulate the improvement of Internet technology. People will not satisfy with pure text information but ask for information with sound and video. The audio and video technology combined with internet enlarges people's working space, which also changes people's life and thinking gradually.It's a tendency of combing multi-media technology with Internet, for it's provide people more information and with a manner of people's convenience. When talk about multi-media technology, we should tale about video compress technology. This paper introduces the standard video compress algorithm, including ISO standard and ITU standard. They have different application environment. When study these algorithms, this paper provides a fit able algorithm to recognize moving multi-objects in video sequence. This paper also introduces RTP (Real-time Transport Protocol) and RTCP (RTP Control Protocol), with which we used to send our video data by Internet.The software is developed using VC++6.0 and run on windows platform. It followed the DirectShow programming principles. This paper introduces the technologies of Video Capture, Audio Capture, File Saving and so on in DirectShow.
