Research On The Commnication And Cooperation Mechanisms On The Work Place In Migrating Workflow Systems

Migrating workflow is a new technology applying mobile computing to workflow management. In light of the complexity of the business process goal, the workflow is completed by one or more migrating instance, of which everyone executes a sub-process of the workflow. The three essential factors of a migrating workflow system include migrating workflow management engine, migrating instance and workplace. The management engine is in charge of workflow procedure definition, migrating instance's generation and the coordination of many instances. The workplace refers to the anchorage server and work-machine network, while the anchorage server id the executing place of migrating instance, and work-machine provides workflow services to migrating instance. Migrating instance accesses workflow services through anchorage server by means of object reference management systems.In inter-organization migration workflow systems, creation and first run of different migration instances in different organizations (attribution of different owners) is allowed to support the subsequent of the inter-agency flows. Migrating instance need to carry out local collaborations by some communication ways when arriving at the same workplace whether they were created by the same workplace. Thus the alternation mechanism on workplace is one of the most important research content about migrating workflow management systems.This paper presents research on the anchorage based on the definition of migrating workflow service, in allusion to the alternation between migrating instance and between migrating instance and workplace. This paper provides a mix-alternative model based on true-name alternative and anonymous alternative. The true-name alternative corresponds to multi-instance who are created by the same organization, viz. they belong to the same owners and know each others real existence. But because of autonomy, agents created by different agencies don't need to know each other's reality when arriving at the same workplace. They only need to carry out collaboration by some indirect communication ways. Thus they can adopt anonymous interactions.This paper presents research on the anonymous interactions based on meeting-model. This paper presents the conception and architecture of the meeting-model. Migrating instance share their workflow results by joining the meeting when arriving at the some place. This paper extends the KQML language to make it suit the workflow manager system.The analysis of the execution results of the prototype shows that the meeting-model prototype realizes the designation objects and proves the reference model of the interaction.
