| As the theory of computer aided design and its applications develops, various 2D CAD and 3D CAD systems merge in endlessly. 3D CAD has strong modeling ability, but its 2D engineering drawing part can not meet the requirements of the professional engineers. At the same time, 2D CAD has its powerful drawing function, but it is lack of the advantage of modeling of 3D CAD. In most current applications, many enterprises hope to use 3D and 2D systems with interoperability to make the factory flow more efficient. Therefore, how to build interoperability mechanism between 3D CAD and 2D CAD for them to take advantage from each other need be brought forward in the field of CAD currently.This thesis aims at the key technology research as the interoperability mechanism between 3D CAD and 2D CAD needs. With ontology mapping, the interoperability mechanism is built, and the prototype system between SolidWorks (3D CAD) and AutoCAD (2D CAD), which both are very popular nowadays, is used as an example to prove the feasibility of the mechanism.The main content of this thesis is as follows:(1) Ontology knowledge representation based on OWL. With the strong knowledge representation ability of ontology, OWL language is used to construct local ontology. In the mean time, this thesis presents a composite ontology mapping method to build relation of system integration between heterogeneous local ontology. This makes the implementation of interoperability mechanism between 3D CAD and 2D CAD much easier.(2) Interoperability mechanism design between 3D CAD and 2D CAD based on ontology representation. By constructing local ontology for both 3D CAD and 2D CAD and designing shared CAD ontology, a framework of interoperability mechanism between heterogeneous CAD systems based on ontology is presented.(3) Implementation of prototype system. The interoperability mechanism between SolidWorks and AutoCAD is implemented to prove the feasibility. The technology of COM is applied when implementing the system. |
