Research And Application Of EPON In Computer Control System

Transfer EPON into practical industry computer system,use Etherent protocol on ammunisations between control computer and field equipments,the channel medium uses the optical fiber, achieve the long-distance real-time control,simplify multilayer computer control system communicate protocol,also can markably enhance reliability of the system.This paper based on the characters of EPON and practical computer control system,through comparing static and dynamic band width assignmentalgorithm of EPON,proposes one kind of proved suitable to the practical field control system.And complete the hardware and software designs of ONU.On the foundation of the algorithm adopts rotation call and replay way,within fixed time-cycle,determines a minimum time gap and a maximal one.Which can respond each intelligent node and can improve the system's real-time at the same time. The algorithm establishes different pritorityaccording to the different importance of intelligent node's duty of the practical equipment which can determine the order.If the low priority node cannot be responded in certain time,it's priority grade can be increased automatically.Also the algorithm has achieved automatic with drawing and indrawing of intelligent node.The improved algorithm has been emulated in the paper.The hardware of ONU has been achieved in the paper using MCU.The communication function come true of the improved algorithm and optical Ethernet through migrate the Nut/OS operating system and software programming on the MCU.Finally ,the paper proposed the advantages in combining EPON with computer control system, and the proplems in desiging and tesing them.Through the improvement the design and test on ONU with dynamtic band width algorithm,it's proved to be feasible that utilizes EPON in the computer control system,which can satisfy the system's real-time requests, and enhance the usability and the flexibility of the system.
