In the past years, Internet has been under the ceaseless advancement and change. From the aspect of the applications carried by Internet, there are three distinct trends: first, the traffic scale is continuously enlarging; second, there are more and more multimedia applications such as VoIP and telecommuting which are carried by telecommunication networks before are now carried by Internet. These changes ask more about the network reliability of Internet.This paper studies mainly the reliability about NGN. The author analyses the reliability mechanisms in different hierarchy. Then, on the basis of the study of the exsisting reliability techonogy, it proposes a new scheme which can assure the reliability of the next generation network. This paper analyses the reliability of the new scheme from the following three aspects: Access plane studies and analyses how to increase the switch reliability of Media; Transmission plane studies and analyses how to transmit service message reliably over the net; Control plane studies and analyes how to finish reliably the transmission of control message. Finally, the author presents part realization of the new scheme. |
