Research On Radio Link Control Of Private Package Wireless Access Network

To satisfy the needs of communication services such as video, data and voice etc in police department, we take the challenge to research the private mobile radio system (PMRS), aiming to realize a private packet wireless access network supporting the integrated services. This paper puts emphasis on the study of Radio Link Control (RLC) layer which is part of the network communication protocol.Firstly, the framework of the network system is introduced, including the backbone part, the wireless cellular access part, and the wireless multi-hop self-organized access part. The architectures and functions of radio interfaces are discussed. The interworkings are also described.Secondly, the paper analyses and studies the functions of RLC. According the characteristic of network and the special demand of application, some important functions, such as the frame structure, the error control, the logic link management, and etc, are further studied to offer better quality of service (QoS) in this integrated services network.Finally, some conceptions and measures to improve the performance of the network system are mentioned.
