According to the developing tendency and the practice requirement of service department, this paper puts forward a system design for radio signal monitoring and classification. The whole system architecture, principle, arithmetic and the hardware realization is given.This system includes an antenna receiver, a data collector, a digital signal processor, a data transmission unit and a logical controller. The radio signals received is filtered, amplified and mixed to the IF for output to the data collector which converts the analog signals to its digital version. Via software programming of arithmetic, the digital signal processor realizes the two functions: spectrum analysis and signal identification. At last, the results pass to PC by a USB interface.This system is based on a general, blocked hardware platform. Its functions are realized by software programming. It is easy for the later improvement and functions expansion.
