| The term software radio stands for radio functionalities defined by software, it refers to configurate an opened, modularized, standardized and reused hardware platform to realize many telecommunication functions by software. In the ideal software radio system, ADC and DAC should be close to the antenna at the most degree, however, due to the poor processing speed of A/D and DSPs, the realization of ideal software radio system is impossible now. If we want to realize it, we must alter its architecture.This paper deals with software radio receiver on the FPGA in order to design a platform which can demodulate signals in different modulation. Attention is concentrated on the design of the receiver and also on the design of DDS,FIR filter and Multiplier, which is the key factor in the platform. The simulations and synthesizes have been carried out using ISE, MODELSIM, SYNPLIPY PRO and MATLAB to certify the possibilities of the design. |
