Research On Workflow Management System Based On Web Services

Workflow technology as an important branch of information technology application is a substantial part of the information construction in an enterprise. In the movement of enterprise globalization and IT development, the traditional workflow system cannot solve all problems well as characteristics of distribution, isomerism and autonomy become more distinct. In this paper, the present workflow system and Web Services will be analyzed, with BPEL as description of workflow model and Petri-based validation, the union of Web Services and workflow here improve much compared to the traditional workflow system. In order to improve the security and flexibility of the system, an access-control model based on BPEL is introduced. On the base of the above, a Web Services based workflow system is designed and implemented with the frame of J2EE and standards of BPEL. The new system is more supportive in dynamics and repetition, more reliable and of higher flexibility and security.
