The Research And Design Of Layered Workflow Process Model Based On Web Services

Workflow management technology takes the business processes as the core and it is based on the logic of the process. For improving the productivity efficiency of enterprises, it provides both support for the single activities of business processes and automated or semi-automation support for the link between the activities. Therefore, adopting workflow management technology to the enterprise information system can reduce the human factor in the business process and improve the efficiency of both cooperation and controlling of the activities. And that can help to achieve the efficiency of the overall enterprise. With the increasing of modern enterprises scale of operation and production, business processes are covered by the cooperation of resources between different regions and business processes have to often change to adjust to the changing market demand. With the continuous deepening of the practical application, a higher functional requirement about workflow technology is needed.Distribution, Heterogeneity and autonomy of modern enterprise information become more and more remarkable with the fast development of IT technology and enterprises globalization. This means workflow management system should run on the distribution, heterogeneity and autonomy environment of enterprises.The emergence of web services provides a simple and quick solution for the realization of the enterprise information system integrated in the heterogeneous, distribution and loose environment. Web service is one of the objects deployed on the web, it has the advantages of object technology, and it is built on the XML-based and open technology of web standards, so Web services are very suitable for the establishment of distribution and heterogeneous applications.Workflow management system implementation is the effective measures to improve the enterprise's core competitiveness. And the workflow process model is the basis of workflow management system. For adapting workflow management system to the current business environment need and resolving the current workflow management system support not enough to the distribution and heterogeneity enterprise environment, under the analysis of the existing research of the workflow technology, this paper raises a new hierarchical workflow process model. It is divided into two layers: business layer and logic layer. Business layer is built with WS-BPEL and logic layer is built with activity diagram based on ECA rules. The two layers get unified though bundled web service. Because business layer is based on web services, this model can easily be built and run in the HAD environment. And new elements are added to the process model:Transaction activity and transaction node, this provides the transaction workflow with model support.Finally, under the workflow process model raised in this paper, this paper raises a workflow management system architecture which based on virtual enterprise and web services.
