The Network Camera System Based On DSP

With the coming of digital time in the twenty-first century, the digital signal processing technology is becoming the trend of the science development and the Digital Signal Processor (DSP) specially designed for high speed digital signal processing has become the leading role in electronics engineering. With the development of the DSP technology and the improvement of Internet speed, Network digital video surveillance system based on DSP is necessary in practice. Considering this demand, Network camera system is introduced in this article, which is based on the technology of DSP still image compression and transmission technology on LAN.The article mainly accomplishes the design and debugging of Network camera system depending on DSP technology, which includes the comparison of the system projects, the selection of chips, the design and debugging of hardware circuit. The program of image capturing, compression, encoding and the driver for Network transmission are designed and debugged in this article too. Above all, the development and application of Network camera are described; meanwhile, the necessary of image compression is discussed. Then the system projects are analyzed and selected, and the final system frame is worked out. The hardware design is introduced in detail in chapter three, which consists of the selection of DSP and other chips, the design of video capturing circuit, the design of Internet interface and system control circuit etc. As to the system software, the theory on JPEG algorithm is explained at first, and then image compression and encoding based on DSP, Internet transmission and other application program are described in detail. The debugging course and results of the system hardware and software are explicated in chapter five, and then the system performance is analyzed. At last, how to achieve independent system is briefly introduced, at meantime the summing-up and prospect about this research are presented.This thesis is part of the Tianjin Science and Technology Progress Project"Internet Camera Based on Embedded Real Time System". The article expands the system function based on the project, which makes the DSP application system to accomplish Network camera function independently.
