With the rapid development of information database technology, artificial intelligence technology and internet technology, Information system has made great progress, and at the same time its application has increasingly developed in both the width and depth, which has become an indispensable modern support tool for many enterprises management. As the modern enterprise, it is essential to build a flexible extended and maintained management information system based on Internet/Intranet, which can help enterprises adapt to various marketing environment and promote the development of the enterprises. Enterprise management information system is one of the new technologies which develop rapidly in computer science field; its purpose is to support the decisions of top-level, controls of middle-level and the skeleton operation, which can improve the production efficiency, profile and competitions.The thesis analyses and researches development theory and methods of enterprise information system, UML and object-oriented modeling technology, structure model of management information system and work flow technology. We provide one information system model based on agent integrating merits of C/S and B/S model which can solve the problem of low speed query information. Then we do requirements analysis, system analysis and design using UML and object-oriented analysis and design aimed at specific needs of a pipe store and transportation company. Finally we make a detailed design under windows server 2003 operating system, Delphi 2005 as prospects of development tools, SQL server 2000 as the database system. The entire system is divided into two subsystems: raw materials subsystem and products subsystem. The first subsystem includes acceptance of raw materials management, transportation of raw materials management, use of raw materials management and return of raw materials. The second includes depositing of products, transporting of products, consigning of products and return of products. Meanwhile, the system establishes the correspondence between raw materials and products, records detail information in transportation, producing and storing processes, realizes the tracking management from materials to products. The system meets the business needs of the company, and realizes the sharing of information, detailed management objectives; greatly enhances the company's level of information management.
