With the development of imaging sensors, multisensor image fusion technology is generated and applied in a wide variety of fields such as military surveillance, medical diagnosis, remote sensing and intelligent robot. The focus of the research is to develop the multisensor image fusion algorithms which display fused in color.The main work of this research is as follows: Several foregone image fusion algorithms based on false color are reseached,the results of experiment simulations are analasysed. A new false color image fusion method is proposed based on the different peculiarities of glimmer and infrared images.The method combines false color image fusion technology with image inhancement.The fused image mot only contains two images' informations,but also keeps more clear details. In relationship to the transform between HIS color-space and RGB color-space,a method of false color image fusion is proposed based on HIS color-space.The colors of the fused image is natual,and the whole fused image appears more suitable for the people eyes. Contrapose the matter that the foregone false-color process technology is not well for glimmer night-vision image,an false-color process based on fusion is proposed.The method has simple calculate process and better image effect.?For the problem that the fused images have not accordant external metewand,three basic appraise indexes which are based on the use of the fused image are proposed.In addition ,it considers the characteristics of human visual system without reference image and can be used to choose the best algorithm in image fusion applications.
