With the rapid development of satellite astronomy technique, synthetic aperture radar (SAR) is widely applied not only in the military field but also in the agricultural, the geographic, the oceanic, the weather and other fields. However, owing to the coherence of SAR imaging, obtained images are contaminated by speckle noise. It is always a hot and hard topic to effectively suppress the speckle noise of SAR images in remote sensing image processing.This thesis focuses on the study on speckle suppression algorithms. The objective of dispecking is to suppress speckle and at the same time preserve the resolution of the image. However, experiments have shown that the two requirements can hardly be met simultaneously, and therefore a tradeoff has to be made between them. In this thesis, on the basis of studying all kinds of existing methods, we mainly focus our interest on the study on the speckle suppression algorithms based on Doppler spectra of SAR images.Firstly, an improved multilook processing method——the...
