With the development and wide spread of broad-band network, digital products (video, audio, e-book, etc) become more and more popular in our everyday lives. Digital products are easy to save, copy and distribute via Internet, which provides convenience for content providers and pirates at the same time. More and more concern is given on the protection and management of digital rights. Focusing on stream media, we attempt to combine P2P network and Digital Rights Management (DRM) for the hope of making use of both advantages. In this paper, we give detailed introduction of stream media focused DRM system, including its architecture design, technical principles and analysis of problems when taking DRM into P2P network. Sponsored by project of CNGI IPv6-based P2P Content Access Application System, we bring forward an implementation of the whole system, which supports both P2P file sharing system and live streaming system. And we cooperated with AnySee, a P2P live streaming system developed by HUST, and successfully realized DRM functions of live streaming in P2P network.
