MIMO can improve the capacity and the quality of communication and it need not to expand frequency band. At present, many researches on the key algorithms of MIMO have been just done in theory or at the stage of computer simulation. So it is necessary to establish a simulation testing platform, which could make sure the right and the reliability of algorithms.First, this paper introduces the channel module, channel capacity and Space Time Block Code of MIMO system. Then, the character of DSP chip is analyzed and the DSP minimum system is designed. And it applies the chip supporting the IEEE802.11b to support the high speed wireless transmission of MIMO. The interface circuits between two chips are designed with the character of A/D and D/A converters. Then, the data transmission is well implemented between transmitter and receiver through designing circuit and PCB, which is to insure communication quality of high speed circuit. For validating the rationality of the platform with a right simulation scheme, the key algorithms of MIMO such as Timing Synchronization and Channel Estimation are analyzed by MATLAB simulation.
