In recent years, UWB has become one of the research hotspots in the field of wireless communications. For the advantages of low average power,spectrum design flexibility and high frequency efficiency, Chirp-UWB is considered to be with a bright future. The signal detection is one of the key technologies of UWB. The characteristics of Chirp signal , such as wide bandwidth,continuous carrier,bring up higher demands and challenges for its detection. This paper researches on the detection methods and structures of the Chirp-UWB signal.1,Having given a brief introduction of the basic principle of the Chirp-UWB, the paper mainly discusses the Chirp-UWB signal detection problems under the scenario of white gauss noise and ideal synchronization. Firstly, a detection method based on passive SAW devices is analyzed. Secondly, a more flexible and superior digital pulse compression detection technology is discussed and the realization of the matching filter digital pulse compression technology in the time and frequency domain is given. Thirdly, a Chirp-UWB signal detection structure is designed based on dechirp, whose performance is analyzed in detail by mathematical derivations and simulations. Finally, having discussed the noise suppression problem of reference signal under dechirp and analyzed the limits of traditional time domain average noise suppression method, the paper provides an improved detection structure based on feedback balance accumulation, whose performance is compared with the traditional one's.2,The paper researches on the Chirp-UWB signal detection in the multi-path circumstance. A multi-correlator-group Chirp-UWB multi-path signal detection structure is designed with the discussion of the effects of multi-phase and multi-path on the system detection performance. A complex poly-phase filter channelization receiver based Chirp-UWB multi-path signal detection model is detailed analyzed and deduced, whose realization structure is also given. According to the study of the Chirp-UWB multi-path signal separation in frequency domain and parallel demodulation, the paper further discusses the effects of the multi-path delay and the channel blind zone. The effectiveness of analytical analysis and the structure is proved via simulations.3,On the basis of theoretical study, the paper gives the FPGA implementation scheme of complex poly-phase filter channelization receiver based Chirp-UWB multi-path signal detection structure. The multi-phase filter, FFT, parallel demodulation and multi-path combination are realized through optimization structures and algorithms such as distributed filters. The whole solution above is approved via Quartus II 8.0 and ModelSim SE 6.1f.
