This paper mainly researches and designs fuzzy control system used in brush roll motor current load control and establishes its object model successfully used in simulation in the lab. The project comes from the brush roll control in newly-built electrolytic cleaning line (ECL) of new steel Co., Ltd. of Anshan Iron & steel group company. The control system uses process control computers and basic automation-PLC to analyze data and control production. The current of main drive motor of the brush roll is the control aim. We can control it and accomplish ideal cleaning effect by adjusting rotational speed of the top and bottom brush roll according to actual current value. The current of the brush roll is a time-variable, nonlinear, time-delayed object. We can not get a good effect by the traditional PID control when some process parameters change, such as, accelerating or decelerating or tension fluctuation etc. So we can summarize the operational experience in the production and transfer them to fuzzy algorithm-control strategies. The fuzzy control is introduced and used in brush roll motor current load control.Firstly, this paper introduces the project background, brush roll technics and its control trait, control demand. Secondly, fuzzy theory and fuzzy control is introduced generally. Then, the computer control system of electrolytic cleaning line and brush roll motor current load fuzzy control system are designed. Finally this paper introduces the design of brush roll fuzzy controller in detail and uses adaptive neuro-fuzzy induction system in establishing the model of the brush system based on factual data. It was concluded that the fuzzy control used in the brush roll control system of ECL could get a satisfying effect and better robustness by MATLAB simulation.
