| Along with the network popularization and more focus on education, online examination system for various disciplines in different schools has been provided with settings necessary for practical application. However, the online systems used in schools in our country are mainly for teaching purposes, not applicable for testing platform, because their compatibilities are low and they would have to use human rater in the testing of some more arbitrary tests, impossible for automatic rating in a real sense. On the other hand, the "Visual FoxPro Course" used in the author's school, though in use for many years already, still adopts traditional form of testing, and has not realized a complete online testing system yet.This paper analyzes the characteristics of some network structures in different the development stages and studies some key technologies of web database application technologies. Basing on all these theories and technologies, the design of a web-based examination management system of "Visual FoxPro Course" is introduced. Through Microsoft ASP and ADO, this system realizes the access and query of web database. It implements the management function, including examination data maintenance, selecting randomly the script items, network testing, automatic assessment, scores query etc. Then in analogy to manual assessment of the exam scripts, an algorithm, by using fuzzy theory to assess the subjective questions, is proposed and analyzed in detail. It is a useful attempt to try to solve the automatic subjective question assessment which would have to be done traditionally by manual effort. |
