A Study Of Automatic Testing In Web-oriented System

Software testing from scratch went through a long stage. But as the software industry continues to develop, more and more complex software products, more and more intense competition, we must develop the software for customers in the fastest time, but more than 90% of the products delayed the delivery of software products dates, and most developers had to cancel late in the development cycle, some of the features to meet the deadline. Therefore, the traditional manual testing technology cannot meet the current rapid development of software industry. So, we must ensure that the software product quality while reducing software development cycle. Therefore, the introduction of automated testing will become increasingly important.On the research of software testing, automated testing, web application model, and automated testing technology based on web system, this paper focuses on the automation of testing technology. Automated testing, automated testing tools is the implementation of a programming language or with the preparation of the automated test procedures, control a variety of tested software classes and objects, simulate manual testing steps to complete the test. The fundamental purpose of automated testing is to reduce the workload of manual testing to achieve the objective of improving software quality. Web application model organizational structure is generally divided into three main layers: Web browser tier, Web server and database server tier. Browser for Web tier and database server level manual testing, automated testing can be completely simulated. However, due to the limited test automation technology, automated testing cannot fully simulate manual testing, not to mention replacing the analysis of testers, the Web system of automated testing technology still needs further improvement.In the study of web automated testing techniques, focuses on the automated test of development of the Power Trace project. The project uses the web automated testing techniques, the automated testing tool of the PWatir, the platform for automated testing framework of the PicassoWR (Picasso), using the Ruby language preparation of project code, and the database client using Oracle database. Power Trace project is based on B/S structure, so it is suitable for the introduction of automated testing technology, and the project will upgrade later, after the upgrade before the upgrade, we must ensure that the function not be affected, so once the execution of the automation before the pre-release code can be verify whether the original function of the project are impacted.
