Development Of Voice Function For TETRA Digital Trunking Terminal

With the development of TETRA trunking communication in our country, the requirement for TETRA digital terminal will be increasing step by step. Recently, the TETRA terminals,which are made by foreign manufactures, are too expensive, and ordinary people can not afford. Furthermore, the research and development of TETRA terminals is scare. So, the things of research and development of TETRA terminals are very crucial.The TETRA terminal, which we will develop, is a kind of smart mobile terminal, which not only can be used as a normal TETRA mobile terminal, but also has some special functions, such as GIS. The thesis is focused on development of voice function for TETRA trunking smart mobile terminal.Firstly, the thesis introduces the TETRA trunking communication system and its characteristic. Secondly, it describes the software and hardware architecture of the TETRA smart mobile terminal. The hardware consists of MMI board and TETRA main board, MMI stands for man machine interface, TETRA main board implements the TETRA protocol stack. They are connected by serial port. The software consists of Windows CE embedded operating system, TETRA Server, telephone program, etc. Telephone program implements the voice function of the terminal. TETRA Server is a background program, which is responsible for transferring information between telephone program and TETRA main board. Thirdly, a telephone program of smart phone is researched in depth; Finally, I implemented the voice functions of TETRA smart mobile terminal by reference to the idea of the telephone program.
