Research On TETRA Over IP

Digital trunking system is a special mobile dispatch system that can serve as a wireless dispatch communication system which is added to PTT function, sheet management and group call. Large data transmission and high price network system make it practical. Using IP technology can reduce the cost of network very much and make more network application. Then it can move the TETRA system's developmentThis dissertation starts by 3G mobile networks. During 3G is developing to broadband network, trunking communication is developing to broadband IP network. However, the different is 3G using the cdma protocol and trunking communication using the tetra protocol.Only some foreign large communication companies provide the tetra-over-ip solution with their own product. But this dissertation analyses the mechanism. It begins from the protocol and makes different layers. Then the author brings her solution through the market analysis including the network architecture, the application on the ip platform and the advantage and disadvantage. The different of this solution from other company is that the solution adopts the COTS hardware and software. The author finds the way to solve the disadvantage at last.After this, the author analyses IP-OVER-TETRA. It's based on TETRA air-interface protocol. It is important that the TETRA IP transmission between the base-station and the terminal. Finally the author brings much application from IP-OVER-TETRA.
